MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

My projects in Perugia

Bachelor Thesis: Costruzione di Macchine

My thesis for the Mechanical Engineering - Management curriculum, completed in 2022, focuses on the construction of machines, with partilular emphasis on the analysis and calculation of gear parameters. The content of the thesis is structured into various sections, including project assumptions, calculation of geometric parameters of the gear wheels, verification of wheel couplings, calculation of forces and torques on the teeth, and shaft sizing. Additionally, static and dynamic verifications are included, such as the Hertzian verification of the tooth and the bending verification. The work concludes with the selection of components such as the key and the bearing, followed by related post-selection verifications.

Workshop in Supply Chain

During my time at the University of Perugia, I undertook a workshop project as part of the Production Systems Management course, an area that deeply intrigued me. The workshop delved into various aspects of supply chain management, focusing on topics such as calculating stock maintenance rates, forecasting demand, and optimizing inventory policies. Through a meticulous analysis of methods for demand forecasting and sizing inventory policies, the project aimed to enhance operational efficiency and minimize costs within the supply chain. The success of this project underscored the importance of production systems management in modern business practices and solidified my interest in this field.
